1) What is botulinum toxin?
Botulinum toxin is a purified bacterial substance that blocks muscle nerve signals. The dentist can safely inject botulinum toxin to weaken the facial muscle and diminish unwanted wrinkles and frown lines that appear across the forehead and at the corners of the eyes (crow’s feet).
2) Will Botox Leave Me Unable to Move My Face?
This is an extremely common question, and the short answer is no. You should still be able to move your face and your appearance will not radically change. The whole idea is to give you a natural look, just with fewer lines. You should simply look relaxed and rested.
Parrock Dental and Implant Centre only use a tiny dose of Botox that is a fraction of the maximum amount allowed. It is carefully calculated to be just enough to block the nerve impulses that cause the facial muscles to contract, allowing your face to become smoother. The whole point of facial aesthetics is to create a very natural appearance so no one will know that you have had work done, and you certainly won’t be left with a face that looks frozen.

3 )What Does Botox Do?
Botox is a cosmetic treatment that is a type of neuromuscular toxin. It’s injected into the skin to treat facial lines that are regarded as being “active.” This translates into meaning lines that have only recently formed. This particular cosmetic is injected into specific areas of the face to help relax the muscles responsible for forming wrinkles. It does rely on the artistic ability of your dentist in Kent, and you’ll find that Dr Trivedi only uses the minimum amount of Botox required. Using the minimum dose possible ensures that you’ll still be able to show your emotions on your face, as the intention is to subtly change your appearance and to help prevent lines from forming while still giving you a completely natural appearance.
If your wrinkles are only apparent whenever you frown or squint at something, then Botox may be the most appropriate choice. It’s frequently used to treat lines on the forehead, and those lines that form in between your eyebrows, as well as crow’s feet. The results should last for quite a long time, and you can choose to top up the treatment.
4) What can Dermal Fillers Do?
Dermal fillers are really quite different as they are used to treat wrinkles that are more well-established, so they’re more suitable for treating deep-seated wrinkles. They can also be injected into the lips to give a fuller appearance.
When you book your consultation with Dr Rik Trivedi, you may be unsure about which treatment is best, but he’ll be able to guide you in making an informed choice. Some people may only benefit from having one type of treatment while others may find it beneficial to use a combination of Botox and dermal fillers. Many people think of Botox as being something that can fix everything when in fact dermal fillers might be a more appropriate choice.
5) Is Botox Safe
The answer to the first question is that Botox in Kent is extremely safe, as Dr Rik Trivedi is very experienced at administering this treatment, and only ever uses the minimum dose necessary to get natural looking results. You will have had a full consultation before treatment, to ensure there are no reasons as to why you should not have Botox.
Kent BotoxIt isn’t suitable for everyone, as very occasionally some people may be allergic to some of the ingredients, or may have had a reaction to another product containing botulinum toxin. It is probably not advisable to think of having Botox if you are pregnant, or are trying to become pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding. It is not known if Botox could have any adverse effects, but it is best not to risk it.
Another commonly asked question is whether or not Botox will completely paralyse the facial muscles, and the answer to this is no. The treatment will reduce the activity of muscles that are causing frown lines or wrinkles, but you will still be able to show emotions on your face. The idea behind Botox is to make simply you look refreshed, not to make it appear as if you have had some sort of work done.
Some people are worried treatment will be painful, but any discomfort is very brief, and the whole process is over within half an hour or less. The needles used to inject the Botox are incredibly fine, but afterwards there may be a little bit of tenderness around the injection sites. This should soon pass, as should any redness.
Once the Botox has been administered, then it can take a few days to notice any difference, and you may notice improvements several weeks after treatment. The results of Botox last about four months, but results can vary.
Botox is very widely used throughout the world and has been extensively tested to make sure it is safe. It is excellent for reducing the appearance of fine lines that have only recently appeared, but if you have more deep-seated lines, then your dentist in Kent may suggest using dermal fillers to help plump out the skin. Dermal fillers can be more effective for lines that have been present for some time.

Botulinum toxin A is a muscle relaxant that to works by temporarily deactivating the nerves that stimulate the muscles in your face. It’s extremely safe as it has been used in cosmetic procedures since the early 1990s and the effects will wear off after a few months. It’s an excellent treatment for minor facial wrinkles that have been caused by muscle movement. It might not be able to eliminate the appearance of wrinkles, but it can create a much fresher look. This nonsurgical procedure is ideal for anyone who wants to improve their facial appearance but who doesn’t wish to do anything as drastic as to go under the knife.
It’s one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in the world and with good reason. As well as smoothing out your facial wrinkles it can also create other structural changes to your face. This is because the effect of relaxing the muscles can help to open up the eyes and may even elevate the brows slightly.
7) How is Botox Administered?
You’ll receive the Botox through a series of very small injections in precise locations. The needle used to administer the Botox is extremely fine to ensure the placement is accurate, and to minimise any discomfort. Most people find there are very few side effects, although you may notice some temporary bruising afterwards. It can take up to a week for the full effects of Botox to become visible, and the results should last for several months before gradually fading.
