Deciding to have a smile makeover can be a big decision, especially if you are contemplating having an extensive amount of treatment, or if you intend to embark on quite a lengthy course of treatment that may include dental implants in Kent. Perhaps the first thing to do is to decide exactly what you’d like to achieve, and how you’d like your new smile to look. The next step is to book a consultation with Dr Rik Trivedi to discuss your smile so a suitable treatment plan can be devised. Your treatment plan will show all the different steps of your smile makeover, including the cost of each treatment.

It’s entirely up to you as to how much you decide to have done, and you may want to plan the treatment over longer periods of time to help spread the cost. A smile makeover will typically include treatments such as teeth whitening, crowns and veneers, and possibly dental bridges or dental implants. Combining a smile makeover with orthodontic treatment will help straighten your teeth and could enable you to perfect your smile in a conservative manner as very little if any healthy tooth material will need to be removed.

How Do I Know What My New Smile Will Look like?

One of the things that often concerns patients is how their new smile will look; it might seem as if you need to take a terrific leap of faith. You’re in good hands, as Parrock Dental and Implant Centre performs many such makeovers every year, and we even have ways of showing you how your new smile will appear. During the early stages of treatment planning we’ll need to take x-rays and impressions of your teeth. This information is used to accurately plan your smile.

We send the impressions to our dental laboratory where they are cast up in dental plaster. Our dental technicians use these models and the information we send to them to create something called a diagnostic wax up of your teeth. This is done through modifying the teeth on the plaster model and re-creating them in tooth coloured wax in an accurate representation of your new smile. These diagnostic models allow you to preview and approve your new smile before treatment even begins, and are used to create temporary teeth when required. This allows you to ‘test drive’ your new teeth before the final restorations are made so that any modifications are easy to make. You’ll find our dentist in Kent will work with you so you end up with the smile you really want, and diagnostic models ensure you get the smile you were expecting.
