Creating a complete smile makeover takes time, and while most of our patients at Parrock Street are prepared to wait a while, there are some occasions when it is simply too inconvenient to do so. Dental emergencies can and do happen, and usually at a time when there is some much anticipated event looming that will be fantastically well photographed. So how can Parrock Street help?

Our CEREC System Can Create Beautiful Crowns While You Wait

This is perfect if you happen to chip or break a tooth, or if your old crown fails. Dr Rik Trivedi or another of our dentists can prepare your tooth for the crown before scanning the preparation. Using state-of-the-art technology they can design your restoration before the information is sent to the milling centre, located on site in Parrock Street. Your crown is then precisely milled from a single block of porcelain, after which it will be finished and customised to create a natural looking tooth. You will leave our surgery with your new crown in situ and will be able to smile with confidence once more.

Failing Tooth? Ask About Our Tooth in a Day Technique

Sometimes a tooth simply cannot be saved, and although it can be tempting to struggle on, and to try to cope with recurring infections or discomfort, there comes a time when it is best to have it extracted and replaced with something more comfortable. Dental implant in Kent are a great option for replacing missing teeth, but some people do not want to wait several months to see the final results. Dr Trivedi is able to offer patients a tooth in a day technique, a treatment that allows an implant and temporary crown to be placed in the same appointment. You will still have to wait three months or so to receive your final crown, as this allows the implant time to fully integrate with your jawbone, but in the meantime you will have a cosmetically pleasing restoration. This treatment doesn’t involve any stitches, and discomfort is minimal, and of course there is no need to wait to see your new tooth. This technique can also be used to replace more than one tooth, and might be ideal if you know you have a bridge that is past its sell by date.
