Your Initial Consultation

3-D Diagnostic Wax-Ups
If you decide to go ahead then we take the planning one step further through taking impressions and x-rays of your teeth. The impressions are sent to our dental laboratory where they are cast up to provide working, 3-D models of your mouth. Using our prescription the technician will prepare your teeth to create your new smile in tooth coloured wax, providing you with an accurate representation as to the size and shape of your new teeth. This is your first preview of your smile, and it’s a great time for any modifications to be made as this model will be used to fabricate your temporary teeth while your final restorations are being constructed by the laboratory.
Wearing these temporary restorations gives you the chance to take your teeth out for a trial run. You can get used to how they look and feel, and you’ll still be able to make adjustments to them until you’re completely happy with the final aesthetics. Your final restorations will be made to duplicate the shape and size of the temporaries but you’ll find they look a lot better as they’ll be characterised and stained to give a natural appearance.
