Do your teeth look a little dingy, or could your smile do with a quick boost? If so have you considered trying our home teeth whitening system? This is the easy and affordable way to lift the colour of your teeth by several shades, giving you the confidence to smile.

Teeth darken naturally as we age, but some people may find their teeth stain a little quicker. This can often be down to lifestyle choices, as drinking red wine, tea and coffee, and eating lots of strongly coloured foods such as curries or tomato based sauces can speed up the process. Smoking is also a huge factor, and it can simply be down to genetics. The truth is that today’s society is becoming increasingly critical of the way other peoples teeth look, and a person with stained or darker teeth can often be wrongly perceived as having poor oral hygiene. In contrast a sparkling white smile is associated with youth and attractiveness.Teeth whitening is often used in conjunction with orthodontics in Kent, giving a straighter, healthier smile.

Easy Teeth Whitening in Your Own Home

Parrock Dental & Implant Centre likes to use a custom-made tray-based whitening system, as it is easy, comfortable and affordable. Simply visit our dental surgery for impressions so we can make your whitening trays. On your return to our surgery we’ll show you exactly how to use them, and how much whitening gel to place in the trays. The trays will fit firmly over your teeth, protecting your gums from the bleaching solution. All you need to do is wear the trays overnight, and watch your teeth become whiter. You’ll begin to notice a difference in just a couple of days, but you’ll need to continue the process for two weeks to get the full effects.

We’ll give you lots of information on the kinds of foods to avoid while whitening so you get the best results and advice on how often you can re-touch your smile to maintain its pearly gleam.

A Word of Caution

Teeth whitening may not work well on all your teeth. If your teeth are stained due to antibiotic use, or if they have darkened due to root canal treatment then you may need to use an alternative treatment, such as veneers to cover up the affected tooth. This is not a problem and we make some of the nicest porcelain veneers in Kent, so you’ll still end up with a beautiful smile.
