If you’re feeling unhappy with your appearance and would like to turn back the signs of ageing, dermal fillers can be one solution to consider. By using a series of injectable cosmetic treatments, you can soften any facial lines or skin folds and look more youthful.

Dermal fillers are suitable for treating a range of lines and wrinkles including; nose to mouth lines, smoker’s lines, crow’s feet (lines around the eyes) and frown lines. It can also be used for a range of facial aesthetics such as lip enhancement, jaw line correction, cheek augmentation, nose line correction, enhancing the contours of the mouth, brow lifts and rejuvenating the appearance of the hands.

The results from the treatment can be both instant and long-lasting. They can be enhanced with botox treatment. The Botulinum Type A toxin used in botox for example, is one popular treatment which is used to block the transmission of the muscle’s nerve signals. It consists of a purified bacterial substance which when injected, weakens facial muscles and in doing so, reduces unwanted frown lines along the forehead and diminishes the appearance of fine lines around the eyes.

Restylane dermal filler contains a stabilised hyaluronic acid which is a substance that gives skin its youthful texture. When injected into the lips, it can build volume and plump up the area. The effects are noticeable and yet subtle. Results can be immediate and last for 6-12 months.

Another dermal filler is Sculptra. This is the ideal solution for treating deep facial lines which can be dragging your face down and making you look older. Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid which when injected into the skin, targets the deep layers and replaces any lost collagen. The results give your skin back its youthful fullness.

At the Parrock Dental and Implant Centre, our Principal Dentist Dr Rik Trivedi, who is a member of the Facial Aesthetics Association, is highly trained to carry out these range of facial aesthetic procedures.
